IntroductionDuring our leadership class in the fall of 2002, I experienced the jelling of what I had been searching for, the field of study that I was to focus on for the rest of my career, conversational learning. The more reading and studying that I did in preparation for the writing of my leadership portfolio, the deeper the understanding of my mission became. And finally at the end of the year, after classes passed, I was able to pull it all together as I endeavored to rewrite my paper on conversation written initially for the self-organized learning course during the summer.
